My name is Michael Kelly. I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, and I currently live in Mississauga, a suburb outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
I am a father, sales professional, musician, songwriter, runner, hockey player, cyclist, baker, cook, and canoeist. I listen to lots of music, and I have an avid interest in buying and listening to vinyl records. And I really enjoy reading books.
My favourite fiction author is probably Ian McEwen, but I may soon add Alice Munro to that list. As far as my own writing is concerned I regard the following as sources of inspiration, approach, and/or style: Malcolm Gladwell, Bill Bryson, Jerry Seinfeld, Cathal Kelly (no relation), and John Allemang.
I love to write but I have never done much about it. I created this blog to change that.
